How to visit Etna ?

Climbing Mount Etna is both a real challenge and an unforgettable experience ... so are you ready to try this adventure? We can not predict in advance the behavior of Mount Etna, the shedule can be changed according to weather conditions, geodynamic and emission of gases.

In the respect of the safety rules, you can stay at the summit for a short time, the guide is the only responsible for safety during the excursion. To hike to the summit you have to be in perfect health, dont have a physical problems to participate in the excursion, which takes place at high altitude, in an active volcanic zone, on rough routes and at variable altitudes.

Who says sporting hike, says sports equipment. It is therefore important to provide suitable trekking accessories for the visit. Etna3340 offers free climbing for Etna (hiking boots, k-way, backpacks, trekking poles, helmets and torches).

At the height of the visit, you will expect an altitude of almost 3300 meters. It is important to wear high protection sunglasses. Do not forget to equip yourself with a scarf to protect yourself from volcanic fumes. It will be useful to cover your mouth, and avoid these irritating volcanic odors.
