Ortigia is a peninsula on which the historic center of Syracuse is located. It is separated from the rest of the city by a narrow canal. The dominant color in Ortigia is in shades of white-yellow, giving it a timeless character. Sights: The Piazza del Duomo is absolutely grand, as is the cathedral. To see: the buildings in the city center, the Maniace castle and the Arethusa spring. The alleys are a labyrinth that leads all to the sea. The promenade that runs along the coast is one of the most spectacular corners of the area. From Ortigia it is possible to reach the protected marine area called Plemmirio. Visit of Noto, the baroque city

Noto is a magnificent town, completely rebuilt in Sicilian Baroque style after the great earthquake of 1693. The new city of Noto has been completely rebuilt 8 km from the old collapsed city.
