Etna wine. Adventure, fun and lovely wines to taste in our 4x4 offroad tour of Etna. Mixing a volcanic experience by visiting several sites on Etna and a great wine tasting of Etna bests DOC wines. Trekking, craters, lava fields and vineyards. 

After the pick-up at our meeting point or at your hotel, by 4x4 offroad vehicle we will reach the giant caldera "Valle del Bove", theater of recent eruptions. This wide valley right under the main active craters of Etna is one of the most interesting places to visit on the volcano. An easy walk on old lava flow will lead us on a panoramic site from where to admire the summit active craters and the beautiful coast line of Sicily. The visit continues with the exploration of a lava tube, formed by flowing lava which moves beneath the hardened surface of a lava flow, our expert guide will provide all caving equipment needed such as helmets and torches. Next step, an easy hike on the large eruptive system of multiples craters named Sartorius, eruption dated 1865. This hike allow you to understand the different types of eruptions that can take place on volcanoes and witness the so called "bottoniera" of 8 linked craters. You can enjoy the magnificent view of the Ionian Sea and Taormina. 

We continue the journey by visiting one of the best wine estates right on the slopes of Etna, where you can walk trough the vineyard, understand the production flows and finally tasting the ETNA DOC wines and of course other Sicilian specialties. Lunch is included with a varaiety of sicilian great recepies. The menu consists of a selection of typical Sicilian starters, a first dish (pasta or soup), fresh seasonal vegetables, dessert, fruit, coffee, water and 1 selected wine.
